Referees

Referees are an important part of any game. They watch over the game, help younger players with the rules and make sure that the game is safe, fair and fun. The referee sets the tone for the competition, protects the players throughout the game, and provides the necessary authority on game day.     Assistant referees (linespersons) assist the center referee by signaling when a player is "offside". The A.R. also assists the referee by calling fouls the center ref. may not have seen.

Classes are offered before and during the season for referees of all levels. See Calendar of Events for referee class times. First time referees are encouraged to sign up. Being a referee is very rewarding. Beginning referees can start with the Under 10 division and work their way up the ladder as they gain experience and confidence.

If you are interested in becoming a referee or assistant referee, please call our Referee Administrator. Or click here to send email and someone will contact you. Thank you in advance for volunteering.
